Thoughts on Expiration Dates and Demises
Absolutely agree…
The more I think about the tangibility and delicate nature of death, the more concerned and frightened I grow about the high chances of ending up working at a desk and pushing pencils for the rest of my life. I believe that the chances of finding myself middle-aged at a dead-end job where my creativity and curiosity wither much more frightening than the prospect of sudden death due to recklessness or the aforementioned curiosity.

Following Dreams
To travel the world. All of us have an aspirational goal in life, something that we want to do before we die. For most of us though (myself included), have is nothing more than just an idea we have at the back of our heads. Something never accomplished, just wished.
A person by the name of Lisa Bettany, had these particular dreams.
When I was 12 years old I found a collection of postcards my mum had collected over the years. I was fascinated by all these mysterious cities, cultures, and landscapes. I created a collage on my bedroom wall with these postcards and my favourite National Geographic maps and would spent hours dreaming of adventuring around the world.
Much like the dreams of youth, they die as the real world presses upon us and dreams fade:
As I grew up that wistful teenage dream got pushed aside for other more pressing real life responsibilities…
Well for the developer of the popular iOS camera app, Camera+, her dream was fulfilled and she is living it now:
Now, I’ve put everything on hold to fulfill my life long dream and on January 16, 2012, I’m setting off on a 5 continent journey armed with just an iPhone and a passion for discovering the beauty and diversity of our world.
I commend her and other like her who follow their dreams… May I do something similar in my life.

You may tell a tale that takes up residence in someone’s soul, become their blood and self and purpose. That tale will move them and drive them and who knows what they might do because of it, because of your words.
They speak with the ease of people who have known each other for years, and the excitement of new friends with new stories.

Wow, time surely does fly and as today ushered in the New Year it also ushered in my new website and the job that came with it.
In collaboration with a friend, I am proud to announce InTechno.co, a tech website that strives to provide you with the best technology news there is. I would also like to announce my new role as its Managing Editor.
As to what will become of altIdeas? I will continue to post interesting stuff I find on the interent, but not on a regular basis. This will become more of a personal blog, then actually delivering news as I originally intended it to be.
